Course Content
After a brief introduction to the Italian constitutional system (the historical origins, the form of state and government, constitutional bodies), the following aspects will be examined: the position of public administration within the constitutional framework; the organization of public administration; the characters, the models and the rules of administrative action; the invalidity regime of administrative acts; the relationship between government and citizens.
Suggested readings (Search our library's catalogue)
Students are recommended to study the following books.
In order to frame the constitutional aspects of the subject, the handbook will be suggested by the beginning of the course.
For the second part of the course, concerning the administrative law, students are recommended to study the following chapters and paragraphs of the latest edition of Giandomenico Falcon, Lezioni di diritto amministrativo, Cedam: I, III, IV, V, VI (only paragraphs from 1 to 3), VII (except for paragraphs 9 and 10), VIII, X e XIII.
The whole material requested to study is approximatively 450 pages. However, students should consider that the entire subject will be analyzed during the lessons (in which slides will be used too). Consequently, provided that the reading of the two books suggested above is strongly recommended to all students, those who think having taken very good class notes may be examined (if they ask so) on them.
