The course aims to acquire didactic knowledge about teaching and learning mathematics
The competencies that the course aims to develop in its participants are to:
- Read and understand research papers in mathematics education
- Read with a critical approach a research paper or a book
- Analyze whether artifacts are appropriate for the mediation of particular mathematical concepts,
- Be able to use dynamic geometry environments;

Type of Assessment
Evaluation consists of an oral interview and a seminar activity based on the reading of an assigned text about mathematical education.
The oral interview focuses on the topics dealt with in the lesson and aims to evaluate the acquired knowledge and the ability to expose them critically and consciously.
The seminar activity is prepared in groups of 2/3 students to promote the ability to work in teams and is presented to the teacher and other students. Understanding the read text, contextualization capability, ability to communicate the essential points, and constructive objections are evaluated.
